Clyde Marina is based in Ardrossan on the north Ayrshire coast. It enjoys excellent communication links by land, sea and air. It sits on the A78 which runs the length of the scenic Ayrshire coast with several radial A roads which will take you to Glasgow, approximately 30 miles away.
If you prefer the train Ardrossan connects directly to Glasgow, ensuring a regular and reliable link both ways. A spur line comes down to the harbour itself, terminating at the Caledonian Macbrayne terminal where you can jump on the ferry across to the beautiful Isle of Arran.
Glasgow airport is within 40mins travelling time offering flights from all the major airlines including British airways and Easy jet while Prestwick Airport is just 25mins south and acts as a hub for Ryanair, amongst others. This allows boat owners on the south coast of England the choice of a quick and cheap commute up to the gorgeous cruising ground of the Clyde, rather than the overcrowded and overpriced Solent.
